The health of your body can be directly tied to the health of your diet. Knowing what to eat is the best way to make sure you maintain your health. These ideas can be easily incorporated into your daily routine. Healthy eating habits are one of the keys to a successful life.
 
You can count to five for better nutrition. Ideally, you should have at least five portions of fresh produce daily. It’s less intimidating when you realize that a serving actually isn’t that much. A single 8 ounce glass of 100% orange juice is one full serving.
 
Drinking plenty of water is the most common, and important tip to remember as you are working to stay healthy. Though your body is primarily water, you must still make efforts to stay hydrated. Your goal should be to drink a minimum of sixty-four ounces of water each day, which is eight glasses.
 
Switch from processed white bread and flour to whole grains. A good source of protein and fibers is in whole wheat and whole grains. Whole grains will fill you up and keep you this way. Scan the ingredients listed on the label and make sure that “whole-grain” is listed prominently.
 
Mushrooms should be thoroughly cooked. This assists in breaking down the carcinogens which mushrooms are made of. Unfortunately, this could harm your body. Make sure to keep an eye on your health so that you can stay healthy and thin.
 
Eat brightly colored foods! Fruits and vegetables that are very brightly colored give you lots of nutrition without tons of calories. Try to incorporate a different colored fruit or vegetable into every meal. if you can, eat the skins on fruits and veggies. Skins are full of antioxidants.
 
Never skip breakfast. A lot of people don’t eat breakfast because they are in a hurry or hate eating right after they get up. This is a myth, however, as metabolism and overall health is adversely affected by skipping breakfast.
 
One good way to improve your nutritional intake is to avoid white flour. Use healthier whole wheat flour instead. This type of flour has more nutrients and more flour than processed, white flour.
 
A good piece of advice is to not focus on dessert. Try to only serve dessert a few times per week.

TIP! It is wise to have an egg or two on a daily basis in order to gain a healthy dose of dietary protein. If you want to avoid consuming the fat and cholesterol in the egg, separate the yolk, and eat only the egg white.
